FIRST LADIES OF Fitness by WRC Jordan S. My fitness journey has been no walk in the park. Fitness is a lifestyle, you cannot wake up one day and be "fit". It takes many years to figure out what works best for you. Everyone is different and what works for one person does not guarantee success for another. My personal journey began like so many, during my freshmen year of college I gained the notorious "freshmen 15", although mine was 20. This sparked my interest in fitness. What I've learned about most trainers is that their journey started with a weight gain. That weight gain was the catapult to my experiment with quick dieting, different workout programs and my weight fluctuating. During my junior year, my father introduced me to a fitness program that completely changed my life. I began coaching and teaching fitness classes. I found a great rhythm that worked with my lifestyle of being a college student while also on my college dance team. This specific program has a combination that works for me as an athlete, coach and caters to my busy life. With this program, I accomplish my goals while also having the fulfillment of helping other clients reach their goals and enjoy myself at the same time. There are so many fitness programs out there! Everyone has a fitness home that is waiting for them. My advice if you are looking for a program is do not settle for boring. If you are not enjoying yourself, you will not be consistent with it. Next, give it time, no workout program works overnight. In my experience, it is best to try a training program for six months before you decide if you will stay or not. Along with finding your routine, figure out your nutrition and what works best for your body. Proper nourishment and ample training is the cornerstone for success. There is a program for everyone out there, you just have to put in the work to find it. 19
