why I return year after year. My reply – In the same uniform and on the same field I stand on for every home game, I get to perform with aspiring dancers and cheerleaders, and it’s truly an honor to be a role model for them. As a representative of my community and my team, I continue to positively influence these future entertainers beyond the field by encouraging them to reach for their dreams and be better than they were yesterday. If that wasn’t enough to bring me back year after year, I’ve been fortunate to travel around the world visiting U.S. Military troops and their families. Being born overseas, in an Army family, this is extremely important to me. I have been blessed to visit bases in Kosovo, Italy, Spain, Kuwait, Djibouti, and Bahrain. My teammates and I bring our servicemen and women “a little piece of home” during Military Appreciation Tours and I’m already excited for my next trip! As a WRC veteran, I wear my uniform proudly. I represent the Redskinettes who came before me, my current sisters who stand beside me, and the future First Ladies who dream of dancing on a big stage. My journey has shifted my focus from my personal desires to showing me how I contribute to my community. My new passions are uplifting the youth around me, and traveling on Military Appreciation Tours, and that’s why I’m back for year four. 65
